The Pegler XPress Press-Fit Gas Copper Slip Coupling is a straight connector for copper gas pipe that has no centre stop. That means it can slide right along the tube, which makes it the fitting to reach for on a repair.

Why a gas slip coupling helps

Say a section of gas pipe is damaged and you cut it out. The two ends are fixed, so you cannot spring them apart. With a slip coupling, you push it back over one end, drop in the new piece, then slide it across the gap and press. It is part of the Xpress gas range, which has seals made for gas, so keep it separate from the water fittings.
