The Xpress Gas 316 Stainless Steel Backplate Elbow, Aalberts code SSG15, gives a solid, fixed gas point on an XPress stainless system, and we sell it in 15mm x 1/2″ for gas engineers fitting cooker and appliance points. It has a 15mm press end, a 90° turn and a 1/2″ female Rp thread on a wall plate.

Fix the plate to the wall or a noggin, then screw the appliance connection or cooker hose fitting straight in. It is 316L stainless with a yellow HNBR O-ring and yellow marking.

Fix the backplate firmly before connecting anything, so the press joint never takes the strain. Use a gas-rated sealant on the male thread, mark the depth and press with M-profile jaws.
