Polyplumb Polypropylene Conduit Pipe Coil is a black, flexible sleeve that you run plastic pipe through, so the pipe is protected and can move freely where it passes through screed, walls and floors. We sell it in 15mm and 22mm, in 25m and 50m coils.
What Polyplumb polypropylene conduit pipe coil is used for
Conduit is standard practice where plastic pipe is buried or goes through a building element. Typical spots are where underfloor heating pipe crosses a screed expansion joint, where pipe passes through a wall, and on the tails coming up to a manifold. The sleeve stops the pipe being gripped by concrete or plaster, protects it from damage, and gives it room to expand and contract as it heats and cools.
- 15mm x 25m
- 15mm x 50m
- 22mm x 25m
- 22mm x 50m
The size refers to the pipe it is meant to carry, so 15mm conduit is for 15mm pipe and 22mm conduit for 22mm pipe. Even so, push a short offcut of your pipe through before cutting a long run.
Thread the pipe through the conduit before you make the joints at either end. Cut the conduit with a sharp knife or cutters and leave enough length to cover the pipe fully where it passes through the wall, floor or joint. Keep the ends tidy so screed can’t get in. Where the pipe surfaces at a manifold, a neat bend of conduit gives a better finish. More plastic pipe is in our Polyplumb pipe range.

Common Questions
What size conduit for 15mm Polyplumb pipe?
Use the 15mm conduit for 15mm pipe and the 22mm conduit for 22mm pipe. Push a short offcut through first to check.
Where must plastic pipe be sleeved?
Where it is buried in screed or plaster, passes through walls and floors, or crosses a screed expansion joint.
Why does conduit help with expansion?
It keeps the pipe free to move as it heats and cools, instead of being gripped by concrete or plaster.
