Single Panel Single Convector Radiators 400mm High

Single Panel Single Convector Radiators 400mm High are the slim choice for under windows in smaller rooms. As a Type 11, or K1, each has one panel with a convector behind it, so it stays close to the wall.

These suit bedrooms, box rooms and landings where a deep radiator would get in the way. They also fit older flats with deep window sills, as 400mm sits under most of them. A single panel gives less heat than a double, so match the length to the room. If the room is cold or large, look at a Type 21 or Type 22 of the same height instead.

• Height: 400mm
• Lengths: 400, 500, 600, 800, 900, 1000, 1100, 1200, 1400, 1600, 1800 and 2000mm
• Single panel, single convector (Type 11)
• With wall brackets, top grille, side panels, plugs and vent

Hanging single panel single convector radiators 400mm high

Offer the radiator up with its brackets on, so you can see how it sits under the sill. Use a spirit level for the holes and pick plugs and screws to match the wall. Measure the pipe centres from the radiator, cut your tails, and fit valves. Fill, bleed from the top and check the unions for weeps. Valves for it are in the radiators and accessories range.

Common Questions

Will a 400mm radiator fit under my window sill?

Measure from the floor to the underside of the sill, then allow for the brackets and a gap above the grille. In many older flats with deep sills, 400mm is the height that fits.

Is a single panel enough for a bedroom?

For a small or well insulated bedroom it often is. If the room has an outside wall on two sides, a Type 21 or Type 22 gives more heat from the same space.

Do I need new valves with a new radiator?

Not always, but old valves that weep or stick are worth changing while the system is drained. A pair of new valves costs little next to a callback.
