The Unifill 4 in 1 float valve is a height adjustable cistern fill valve that refills quietly using a diaphragm design. One valve to cover several cistern setups. Ask for it at Plumb Parts in Glasgow.
A Unifill 4 in 1 float valve is a cistern fill valve made to suit several different setups with one part. For a plumber, that means fewer valves to carry in the van and less guessing about which one a toilet needs.
Why carry a Unifill 4 in 1 float valve
The body is height adjustable to suit different cisterns, and the valve uses a diaphragm design that refills quietly. It is easy to install, so it suits a quick repair call as well as a refit.
- Fill valve for toilet cisterns
- Height adjustable
- Diaphragm valve design
- Quiet refill
Isolate the water, empty the cistern and remove the old valve. Check how your cistern is fed before you start, then set the new valve up to suit. Seat it on its washer, adjust the body height, then snug up the backnut firmly but not hard.
Open the water slowly and set the level a little under the overflow. Flush a few times to check it shuts off fully.
Flush valves and handles are in our cistern fittings section.

Common Questions
How is a diaphragm fill valve different from an old ball valve?
It seals with a flexible diaphragm rather than a piston and washer, which tends to give a quieter fill and a cleaner shut off.
How do I set the height?
Adjust the body so the float moves freely below the lid and clear of the flush valve. Then set the water level just under the overflow.
Why is water coming out of the overflow after fitting?
Either the level is set too high or the valve is not closing. Lower the float setting first. If it still runs, check for grit on the seal.
