White Radiator Pipe Covers 15mmX1M 3PCS

White Radiator Pipe Covers are plain sleeves that go over the short lengths of 15mm pipe between the floor and the radiator valves. This pack holds three pieces, each 1m long, which you cut down to the height you need.

Why fit white radiator pipe covers

Copper tails tend to look scruffy after a few years of decorating, with paint splashes and dark marks. A white cover tidies them up in a few minutes without draining anything. Landlords like them between tenants, and they finish off a new install nicely too. Because the pack covers three metres, there is usually enough for several radiators.

Fitting tips, as given at our Glasgow counter

Measure from the floor or the pipe collar to the bottom of the valve body. Cut a little short, so the cover does not foul the valve nut, and use a fine-tooth saw or a sharp knife for a clean edge. Slide it on before the valve goes back on, or fit it from the top if the valve is already in place and the cover allows. A matching pipe collar at the floor finishes the job off. If the tails are microbore, these are the wrong size, so check the pipe with a tape first.

Common Questions

Will these covers fit microbore radiator pipes?

No, they are sized for 15mm pipe. On microbore tails they will be loose and look wrong.

Do I need to remove the radiator valve to fit them?

Not always. Some covers slide on from the top once cut to length, but if the valve nut is in the way, slip the cover on while the valve is off.

How many radiators does one pack do?

Three metres of cover is plenty for several radiators, as each tail is usually only a short length between floor and valve.
