Tectite Sprint Fitting Reducer 15mm to 28mm

The Tectite Sprint Fitting Reducer has a plain copper spigot on the big end and a push-fit socket on the small end. Push the spigot into a larger fitting and you drop the pipe size without a separate reducing connector.

Sizes: 15mm x 10mm, 22mm x 15mm, 28mm x 15mm and 28mm x 22mm.

Cut the pipe square, take off the burr, mark the insert depth and push the pipe in with a slight twist until it clicks home. Check the mark sits at the mouth of the fitting and give it a firm pull. No heat, no flux and no spanners on the push-fit end. Sprint joints are permanent: they cannot be taken apart and used again.

Common Questions

What is the difference between this and a Reducing Connector?
This one has a spigot that goes into another fitting. A Reducing Connector has two push-fit sockets and goes between two pipes.

Can a Tectite Sprint fitting be taken apart?
No. Sprint fittings are not demountable. Once the pipe is pushed home the joint is permanent, so cut the pipe if you need to change it.

Do Tectite Sprint fittings need pipe inserts?
Not on copper. On PEX or PB plastic pipe, fit a pipe insert first so the pipe keeps its shape and seals properly.

Can Tectite Sprint go on gas?
No. Use it on water, heating and chilled water only.
