Tectite Sprint Reduced End Tee 22mm

The Tectite Sprint Reduced End Tee has one run end smaller than the other, so the main run steps down in size at the tee. Read the size as run end, run end, then branch.

Sizes: 22mm x 15mm x 15mm and 22mm x 15mm x 22mm.

Cut the pipe square, take off the burr, mark the insert depth and push the pipe in with a slight twist until it clicks home. Check the mark sits at the mouth of the fitting and give it a firm pull. No heat, no flux and no spanners on the push-fit end. Sprint joints are permanent: they cannot be taken apart and used again.

How do I read the size?
The first two sizes are the run ends and the last is the branch. 22mm x 15mm x 22mm has a 22mm branch, 22mm x 15mm x 15mm has a 15mm branch.

Can a Tectite Sprint fitting be taken apart?
No. Sprint fittings are not demountable. Once the pipe is pushed home the joint is permanent, so cut the pipe if you need to change it.

Do Tectite Sprint fittings need pipe inserts?
Not on copper. On PEX or PB plastic pipe, fit a pipe insert first so the pipe keeps its shape and seals properly.

Can Tectite Sprint go on gas?
No. Use it on water, heating and chilled water only.
