The Tectite Sprint Straight Tap Connector runs from push-fit pipe straight up onto a tap tail or float valve. The nut screws onto the tail with a fibre washer. It is the usual fitting under basins, sinks and baths.
Sizes: 15mm x 1/2 inch and 22mm x 3/4 inch.
Cut the pipe square, take off the burr, mark the insert depth and push the pipe in with a slight twist until it clicks home. Check the mark sits at the mouth of the fitting and give it a firm pull. No heat, no flux and no spanners on the push-fit end. Sprint joints are permanent: they cannot be taken apart and used again.

Common Questions
Which size do I need for a basin tap?
Basin and sink taps take the 15mm x 1/2 inch. Bath taps usually take the 22mm x 3/4 inch.
Can a Tectite Sprint fitting be taken apart?
No. Sprint fittings are not demountable. Once the pipe is pushed home the joint is permanent, so cut the pipe if you need to change it.
Do Tectite Sprint fittings need pipe inserts?
Not on copper. On PEX or PB plastic pipe, fit a pipe insert first so the pipe keeps its shape and seals properly.
Can Tectite Sprint go on gas?
No. Use it on water, heating and chilled water only.
