Double Panel Single Convector (P+) 750mm High Radiator

The Double Panel Single Convector Radiator in 750mm high comes in lengths from 400mm to 1000mm. Also called a P+ or Type 21, it has two panels with one set of fins between them, and it suits plumbers and DIYers filling a narrow bit of wall.

Where it goes

A tall radiator with a short length fits where a long low one will not: beside a door, between windows, in a kitchen gap between units, or in the high hallways of a tenement flat. A Type 21 sits slimmer off the wall than a Type 22, which helps in tight rooms.

Fitting tips

Use a spirit level to mark the bracket holes, as floors are rarely flat. Fix into masonry or timber, not plasterboard alone, because a full radiator is heavy. Measure the pipe centres before cutting the tails, fill the system, bleed from the top and check again once it has run hot.
