Where it goes

It suits a standard family bathroom well, with enough bars for a couple of bath towels. Hook it up to the central heating with a pair of radiator valves (sold separately). Fitting tips

Measure from the floor to set the valve height and fix the brackets level. Use fixings that suit the wall. Many bathroom walls are plasterboard, which needs proper cavity fixings or studs. Once plumbed in, fill, bleed, and check the valve tails and union nuts for leaks.

Yes, after filling bleed it from the top vent, run the heating and bleed again once it is hot.

Can I fit thermostatic valves to a towel rail?

Yes, a TRV on the flow lets you set the temperature, with a lockshield on the return. Fit the TRV head where it can sense the room.
