FloPlast ABS Solvent Waste 92.5° Cross Tee – WS58 40mm

Where two appliances sit either side of a shared waste, the FloPlast ABS Solvent Waste 92.5° Cross Tee WS58 picks both up at the same point. It is a 40mm Solvent Weld fitting with a branch on each side of the main run.

Using the FloPlast ABS Solvent Waste 92.5° Cross Tee WS58

Think of a bath and a basin on opposite sides of a stud wall, or two sinks back to back. A cross tee takes both branches in one fitting, which saves room and joints. The branches meet the run at slightly more than a right angle, giving each incoming pipe a little fall.

Plan the heights so both branches can fall towards the tee. Dry fit everything and mark the fitting, because ABS cement grabs quickly and there is no turning it later. Clean, cement and push each pipe fully home, then hold it a few seconds.

Opposed branches can push water across into each other if both discharge at once, so think about which appliances share it.

Common Questions

When is a cross tee better than two separate tees?

When two wastes arrive at the same point from opposite sides, such as back-to-back basins or a bath and basin either side of a stud wall. One fitting saves space and joints.

Can both branches discharge at the same time?

They can, but water from one side can push across into the other. Think about which appliances share it, and keep both branches falling well.
