The FloPlast MDPE female coupler takes blue MDPE water pipe onto a male threaded fitting. One end grips the pipe, and the other has a female BSP thread.
Where a FloPlast MDPE female coupler is used
You will use one where the new supply pipe meets a stopcock, a meter, an outside tap fitting or a brass adaptor with a male thread. For example, bringing a 25mm supply into a house and onto a 3/4 inch threaded valve. It is for cold water only.

Cut the MDPE square with proper pipe cutters, not a saw. Fit a pipe liner in the end of the pipe so it does not squash when the nut is done up. Slacken the nut, push the pipe in as far as it will go, then tighten by hand. Seal the male thread you are going onto with PTFE tape. If the pipe is going underground, test the joint before you backfill.

Common Questions
Is 25mm MDPE 25mm on the inside?
No, MDPE is sized on the outside diameter, so 25mm pipe measures 25mm across the outside. The bore is smaller, which is why a 25mm supply is the usual size for a house.
Which female coupler goes onto a 3/4 inch stopcock?
Pick the 20mm x 3/4″ or 25mm x 3/4″ to match your pipe, as the thread is the second figure. The 32mm sizes come with 3/4″ or 1″ threads.
Do I need a liner in the pipe?
Yes, fit a FloPlast liner in every MDPE pipe end before the nut goes on. It stops the soft pipe squashing as the fitting grips it.
