When the FloPlast Ring Seal Socket Plug SP296 is needed

On many jobs a branch or boss pipe ends up with a spare socket. You might be first-fixing a bathroom and want the stack sealed until the pan goes in. Or you are taking a WC out during a refit and need to shut the soil pipe off for a few weeks.

Lubricate the plug with silicone and push it fully into the socket. Check it is seated all the way round.

On new builds, plugging open ends while other trades work stops rubble getting into the drain. Remove it carefully when the connection is made, and check the seal has stayed in its groove.

A plug is not an access point. For rodding, fit a screwed access cap instead.

No, it is a blank. For rodding, fit a screwed access cap instead.
