FloPlast Solvent Soil 135° Triple Socket Branch 110mm – SS211

Swept junctions on glued stacks use the FloPlast Solvent Soil 135° Triple Socket Branch SS211, which joins a branch run into a 110mm solvent soil stack at 45 degrees instead of square on. All three ends are Solvent Weld sockets.

Why use the FloPlast Solvent Soil 135° Triple Socket Branch SS211

A swept entry lets the flow join the stack more smoothly. It suits runs that come in on a slope or need to meet the stack at an angle. Plain-ended pipe goes straight into each socket.

Dry fit and mark the branch direction, since solvent soil joints set fast. Clean the surfaces, apply solvent cement to pipe and socket, push home and hold.

Clip the stack close to the branch so the incoming pipe does not pull it out of line.

Solvent soil is rigid once glued, so follow the system instructions on allowing for expansion on long runs. Keep rodding access close to the branch.

Common Questions

What angle does the SS211 branch join at? The branch comes in at 45°, which is why it’s called a 135° branch. The swept entry lets the branch flow merge smoothly with the main flow.

When would I use this instead of a 92.5° branch? Use it where pipes meet at a shallow angle, such as a branch coming in on a slope or two horizontal soil runs joining. A WC going into a vertical stack normally suits the 92½° branch better.

What glue do I need? FloPlast SC125 or SC250 solvent cement, sold separately. All three ends are solvent sockets, so plain-ended pipe glues straight in.

How should I set it out before gluing? Set the branch height against the incoming pipe so it keeps its fall, then dry-fit everything and pencil a line across each joint. Take it apart and cement one joint at a time to your marks.

How long before I can use or test the stack? FloPlast say give it 2 to 3 hours before short discharges and 24 hours before continuous flow.

Can I fit it outside? Yes, it’s for above-ground soil and vent pipework, inside or outside. It isn’t meant for underground drainage.

What colours is it made in? FloPlast make the SS211 in black and olive grey to match their solvent soil pipe.
