Widest in this range, the Heated Curved Chrome Towel Rail 600mm x 1000mm is a chrome ladder rail with bars that curve out from the wall. The curve gives towels a little more space to hang and dry than a flat ladder does.
Where it suits
At 600mm by 1000mm it’s a good size for a family bathroom, with room for a couple of bath towels side by side. It’s often used to replace an old radiator under a window or beside the bath. Measure your space first, including the clearance needed for the valves at the bottom.
One thing worth knowing: a chrome rail gives off less heat than a white painted one of the same size. It will dry and warm towels well, but if it is the only heat in a big bathroom, check your heat loss before you decide.
What else you’ll need
- A pair of radiator valves to suit your pipework, straight or angled. Chrome valves finish it off.
- Wall plugs and screws to suit the wall.
- If you want it to work in summer with the boiler off, ask at the counter about a heating element and T-piece for dual fuel use.
Fitting tips
Measure where the inlets on the rail sit before setting your tails. Fit the brackets level, hang the rail, and bleed it once the system is filled. Keep a soft cloth on hand, as fingerprints and flux marks show on chrome.
Other sizes are in our radiators and accessories range.

Common Questions
Can a 600mm x 1000mm rail replace an old radiator?
It can, as long as the pipe centres and heat output suit the room. Chrome gives less heat than a painted radiator of the same size, so check before swapping.
How do I fix a towel rail to the wall?
Mark the brackets with a level, use fixings that suit the wall, and hang the rail before connecting the valves. Then fill and bleed it.
Why is my towel rail cold at the top?
Trapped air. With the heating switched off, open the bleed vent at the top with a radiator key until water appears, and on a sealed system top the pressure back up afterwards.
