Washing machines and dishwashers need a shut-off right at the hose, and the Hep2O Appliance Valve supplies one. A 15mm Push Fit inlet takes the supply pipe, and the outlet has a 3/4″ thread for the appliance fill hose.
Fitting a Hep2O Appliance Valve
Fit a support sleeve into the 15mm pipe and push it into the valve until it stops. Fix the valve or the pipe firmly to the wall, because hoses get pulled when machines are moved. Screw the fill hose onto the 3/4″ outlet by hand with its washer in place.
The handle lets you shut the supply off quickly when a hose splits or the machine needs to come out. Close it when you go on holiday, so a burst hose cannot flood the kitchen. Use the hot or cold supply as the appliance needs. Most modern machines are cold fill only, so check the manual.
Other valves in the range sit in Hep2O fittings.

Common Questions
Is the appliance valve OK on central heating?
No. Hep2O rate their appliance valve for washing machine type duty: occasional hot or cold use to a 65°C limit, and keep it off heating circuits.
Which way is the appliance valve off?
The handle turned across the valve shuts the water off. Turn it off before taking the fill hose off the machine.
Does the fill hose need a washer?
Yes, the rubber washer in the hose end seals on the outlet. Replace it if it is flattened or cracked.
