The Hep2O Brass Female Spigot Adaptor turns a Push Fit socket into a threaded connection. Its brass spigot pushes into a 15mm Hep2O socket, and the other end has a 1/2″ female thread for a male valve, tail or fitting.
Using the Hep2O Brass Female Spigot Adaptor
Because it is a spigot, it plugs straight into a tee, elbow or valve socket, which keeps an assembly short and neat. It is useful for connecting a threaded drain cock, a pressure gauge or a brass valve onto a plastic system. The brass body also takes the twisting force of a spanner better than a plastic thread would.
Make up the thread before anything else, with tape or paste on the male part, while the adaptor is in your hand. Then push the spigot fully into the socket until it locks. That way you are not twisting the Push Fit joint while tightening the thread.

Common Questions
Do I thread the female spigot adaptor first?
Yes. Make up the threaded joint on the bench or in place before pushing the spigot into the socket, so the twisting does not reach the push joint.
Is there a bigger female spigot adaptor?
Hep2O make bigger sizes, but our listing has the 15mm x 1/2″ only, so ask at the counter for others.
Does the brass spigot need an insert?
No. Inserts go in plastic pipe only. The brass spigot is rigid and goes straight into the socket.
