On a low pressure gravity supply, every bit of flow counts, and the Hep2O Gate Valve keeps the bore clear when it is open. It has Push Fit ends for Hep2O pipe and a wheel handle that lifts a gate out of the waterway.
Where the Hep2O Gate Valve suits
The classic spot is the outlet of a cold water storage tank, feeding a cylinder or bathroom. 15mm suits single branches, and 22mm suits tank outlets, cylinder feeds and main runs. The valve is meant to be fully open or fully closed, not part-open to control flow.
Sleeve both pipe ends and push them in until they lock. Clip the pipe close to the valve on both sides, because turning the wheel puts a twist on the joints. Exercise the valve now and then, so it does not stiffen.

Can I use a Hep2O gate valve on hot water?
Yes, Hep2O list their gate valve for hot and cold. Fit it where the pipe is properly clipped so turning the wheel does not twist the joints.
Why is a gate valve used on tank outlets?
When open it leaves the bore clear, which matters on low pressure gravity feeds where every bit of head counts.
Can the gate valve be serviced?
The gland can be nipped up if it weeps at the spindle. A badly worn gate means a new valve.
