The Polyplumb Equal Elbow is a 90 degree bend with the same size Push Fit socket on each end. Push the pipe in on both sides and the turn is done.

Fitting a Polyplumb Equal Elbow

Plastic pipe can be bent gently, but a tight corner needs an elbow. You will use these at the foot of risers, around joists and where pipe turns up to an appliance. Microbore radiator tails take the 10mm. Most house jobs run in 15mm and 22mm, and 28mm handles larger mains. Carry spares of each size, because a job always eats one more than planned.

Square cuts matter more with Push Fit than with any other joint, because the O ring seals on the outside of the pipe. Use a proper cutter, not a hacksaw, on plastic.
