The Tectite Sprint Elbow 45 Degree gives a gentle 45 degree change of direction with a push-fit end each side. Two of them make an offset round a joist or a pipe in the way.

Sizes: 15mm and 22mm.

Cut the pipe square, take off the burr, mark the insert depth and push the pipe in with a slight twist until it clicks home. Check the mark sits at the mouth of the fitting and give it a firm pull. No heat, no flux and no spanners on the push-fit end. Sprint joints are permanent: they cannot be taken apart and used again.

Common Questions

How do I make an offset?
Use two 45 degree elbows with a short length of pipe between them. The longer the pipe, the bigger the offset.

Can a Tectite Sprint fitting be taken apart?
No. Sprint fittings are not demountable. Once the pipe is pushed home the joint is permanent, so cut the pipe if you need to change it.

Do Tectite Sprint fittings need pipe inserts?
Not on copper. On PEX or PB plastic pipe, fit a pipe insert first so the pipe keeps its shape and seals properly.

Can Tectite Sprint go on gas?
No. Use it on water, heating and chilled water only.
