Washing Machine Self Cutting Valve 15mm X 3/4″

The Washing Machine Self Cutting Valve 15mm x 3/4″ fits over an existing 15mm copper pipe and cuts its own hole. A built in cutter goes into the pipe as you screw the valve down, and the 3/4″ outlet then feeds the appliance hose.

Fitting a Washing Machine Self Cutting Valve

It is the quick way to add a washing machine or dishwasher feed to a pipe that is already in place. You clamp the two halves round the pipe, tighten the screws and then wind the cutter in. How does a self cutting valve work?

It clamps round the pipe, and as you screw it down a cutter pierces the copper. Water then flows into the valve and out to the hose.

Can I fit a self cutting valve with the water on?

It is designed so you can, but turning the water off is safer. Make sure the clamp is tight and square before you cut.

Can I use it on plastic pipe?

No, it is for 15mm copper pipe only. Plastic pipe needs a proper tee and appliance valve.
