The End Feed Straight Coupler joins two copper pipes of the same size in a straight line, from 8mm to 159mm. The sockets are plain, so you feed solder in by hand, which suits plumbers on any size from microbore to plant room mains.
Where it goes
Use it to extend a run, repair a burst, or join two lengths where a run is longer than one pipe. Small sizes go on microbore and domestic water, and the large sizes on commercial heating and plant room pipework where they can be hard to find.

Fitting tips
Clean the pipe and socket until bright and flux both. Push home, heat the fitting evenly, then touch solder to the mouth until a full ring shows. On big sizes, heat all round and use a bigger torch. Use lead free solder on drinking water pipes.

Common Questions
What is the difference between end feed and solder ring?
A solder ring fitting has solder already inside. An end feed has plain sockets and you add solder by hand.
Can I use lead solder?
Not on any pipe carrying drinking water. Use lead free solder there.
Can I slide it along for a repair?
No, it has a stop inside. For a repair where the pipe cannot move, use a slip coupler.
