Solder Ring Fitting Reducer

The Solder Ring Fitting Reducer is a copper Solder Ring reducer that fits inside a larger fitting to step down the pipe size, available in 8mm to 54mm. Solder is built into the fitting, so the joint is made by cleaning, fluxing and heating, with no extra solder needed.

Solder Ring Fitting Reducer are soldered into another fitting to reduce its size and are pre-soldered capillary connectors used in plumbing and are ideal when fitting pipes in confined spaces…

To obtain perfect joints, the inside of the fitting and the outside of the copper pipe are cleaned using coarse steel wool, flux paste is applied, the pipe is inserted into the fitting and heat applied from a portable propane torch until a ring of solder shows at the edges of the fitting. To obtain a durable joint, water must not be poured on the solder joint to cool it. Fittings are now made with lead-free solder.

This is a simple and cost-effective method of joining copper tubes to standard EN 1057.
