Solder Ring Female Tee
The Solder Ring Female Tee is a Solder Ring tee with a female iron (BSP) branch, available in 15mm to 28mm. Solder is built into the fitting, so the joint is made by cleaning, fluxing and heating, with no extra solder needed.
Solder Ring Female Tee is used to connect two pipes or tubes of the same size to an external fitting or appliance that has a male thread at 90 degrees.
Solder Ring Female Tee and Solder Ring Imperial Tee’s are pre-soldered capillary connectors used in plumbing and are ideal when fitting pipes in confined spaces…
To obtain perfect joins, the inside of the fitting and the outside of the copper pipe are cleaned using coarse steel wool, flux paste is applied, the pipe is inserted into the fitting and heat applied from a portable propane torch until a ring of solder shows at the edges of the fitting. To obtain a durable joint, water must not be poured on the solder joint to cool it. Fittings are now made with lead-free solder.
The fittings come in a great variety of configurations, such as Tee-pieces, straight couplers, elbows or bends, reducers (to join pipes of different diameters), stop-ends, and there are versions with screw threads (male or female) at one end to fit taps and galvanised iron pipes.
This is a simple and cost-effective method of joining copper tubes to standard EN 1057.

Do I need extra solder? No, the solder is already in the fitting. Clean and flux the pipe and fitting, push together and heat until you see a ring of solder at the mouth.
Can I cool the joint with water? No, leave it to cool on its own. Throwing water on it can weaken the joint.
